The son of a dexterous carpenter, Mr. Donovan’s roots steered him on a path of creativity that landed in the world of engineering.
Mr. Donovan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, he participated in a number of engineering intern opportunities, where he took part in the inspection and construction oversight of highways, bridges, retaining walls, and other structures. Most notably, while employed for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, he contributed to the inspection and construction oversight for the five-mile, six-lane section of U.S. Route 202 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. After earning his degree, he worked for a municipal engineer in Buckingham, Pennsylvania on the planning review and construction inspection of numerous residential and commercial land development projects in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining EDT in 2011, Mr. Donovan specialized as a licensed consultant managing the design for land development planning and construction documents of residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout the metropolitan Philadelphia area. While performing project management duties, his primary engineering focus was on stormwater management and erosion and sediment control. Mr. Donovan now provides services in the areas of civil and structural analysis, including root cause, damage assessment, and value of loss for residential, commercial, and industrial property.
Mr. Donovan is a licensed professional engineer in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
