Luke Meadows, P.E.

Mr. Meadows is a Civil Engineer based in Birmingham, Alabama. He provides structural evaluations and damage assessments for commercial and residential buildings, with a focus on failure analysis and the effects of environmental and loading conditions on structural integrity.

Mr. Meadows earned both his Bachelor’s (2010) and Master’s (2012) degrees in Structural Engineering from Auburn University. Before joining EDT, he spent over a decade working in the telecommunications industry, providing structural design, inspections, and maintenance services across North Carolina, New Jersey, and Alabama. He then expanded his experience in the heavy industrial sector, where he was involved in engineering design and inspection services for steel and concrete structures.

A significant portion of Mr. Meadows’ work has focused on the evaluation and analysis of existing steel structures and their foundations, particularly under wind loading conditions. He also has experience designing and managing structural retrofits involving steel and concrete, and he is a certified weld inspector (AWS D1.1) with expertise in structural steel welding inspection.

When not working, Mr. Meadows enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He looks forward to one day setting up a carpentry shop in his garage but is currently embracing the joyful chaos of family life.

Mr. Meadows is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He is also certified as a weld inspector for structural steel welding through the American Welding Society (AWS).
