Melissa A. Simpson, P.E.
Melissa Simpson is a consulting engineer born of the Oil & Gas industry in Houston. After several years performing design work for refinery piping systems, Melissa moved into the manufacturing arena. Supporting production in a hybrid quality/manufacturing engineering role, Melissa investigated assembly/testing failures and evaluated safety incidents. As a Six Sigma Greenbelt, she managed the cost and schedule of several large projects, including a $600K parking lot expansion and $130K warehouse equipment upgrade.
After receiving her Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, Melissa gained experience that includes mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and design engineering. Her familiarity with project management, cost estimation, scheduling, and manufacturing procedures assist her with damage assessment and repair/replacement valuation of equipment.
When not on the job, Melissa spends most of her time with her family and enjoys learning new things. Home gardening, water bath canning, Amaryllis breeding, crocheting, and papier maché are some of the skills she has picked up. Chasing her three young boys around the house and backyard is enough to keep her busy the rest of the time.
Mrs. Simpson is a registered engineer in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
