David R. McCauley, P.E.
Mr. McCauley is a third-generation graduate of Florida State University, majoring in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer with over 13 years of experience, Mr. McCauley has a strong technical background in geotechnical subsurface analysis including foundations and settlement, structural engineering inspection and failure analysis, property condition assessments, root cause, scope of damage, and value of loss for residential, commercial, multi-family, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McCauley gained experience as a civil engineer, geo-environmental engineer, consulting engineer, and a general carpenter. As soon as he could hold a hammer, Mr. McCauley would spend his weekends and summers on construction job sites as his father was a general contractor. As such, Mr. McCauley has a great understanding of the way structures should be constructed. Mr. McCauley provides evaluation and damage assessment of commercial, industrial and residential structures, building envelopes, and roofs. When not on the job, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, wood working, mountain biking, and fishing.
