Detailed estimates of repair or reconstruction costs based on damage assessment

A building collapses in a loss incident. Up goes a new building, but the new building is not the same.

A chemical facility is damage in an explosion and a consequent fire. Up goes a replacement facility, but the replacement facility is not the same. It may even be reconstructed for an entirely different process, or perhaps the facility is not to be reconstructed at all.

These scenarios and many more to a point to a need for an independent repair estimate of a loss. Here is where having both engineering and project management experience makes a difference.
