Water Damage to Electrical Equipment

A 2" water sprinkler fitting opened on the eighth floor of a hospital tower, causing water to cascade down stairwells, elevator shafts and floor penetrations. The electrical system of the tower was completely rebuilt, and damage was claimed to non-tower locations as well. Determining what parts of the electrical repair were related to the incident involved a variety of tasks, including damage assessment, testing, reconstruction monitoring, project documents review, and materials and labor charge evaluation.
