Mr. James obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. Upon graduation, he began his career as a systems engineer, responsible for check-out and start-up of a discrete controls systems at a new, highly-automated chemical facility. He then developed and trained a team of technicians and engineers to maintain the systems and ensure system reliability.
Mr. James continued his education at the University of South Carolina and obtained a Master’s of Engineering degree with a concentration in systems reliability. After graduation, he accepted a position with General Electric in the automation services division. There, he managed integration projects including system design, engineering, programming, and installation of various discrete and process control systems. During his tenure, Mr. James was exposed to many industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, medical devices and healthcare, food and beverage, automotive, water and wastewater, power, metals, and pulp and paper.
Mr. James enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family, including boating, fishing, and playing baseball with his sons.
Mr. James is a licensed engineer in Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.
