Mr. Marshall provides consultation on residential, commercial and industrial incidents involving machinery and equipment. His services include origin and cause, failure analysis, and damage assessment. Mr. Marshall received a "hands on" introduction to engineering while working an after school job at a small machine shop. His interest in discovering how things work led him to enroll at the University of Cincinnati to earn a mechanical engineering degree. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University. Prior to joining ED&T, Mr. Marshall was involved in the design, construction, installation, start-up and troubleshooting of high speed wire drawing and winding equipment. He also has experience in designing, building and installing web and strip guiding systems and machinery in the tire and rubber, converting, and metals industries. Mr. Marshall's plant engineering work encompasses capital appropriations requests, budgeting, scheduling and oversight for modifying and expanding facilities to increase production. He has also managed an engineering design group and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Mr. Marshall's passion for loss investigation carries over into his personal enjoyment of shipwreck research and diving. He is a certified SCUBA Instructor and Underwater Archaeology Instructor with the Maritime Archaeological Survey Team, Inc.(MAST). Mr. Marshall is a licensed engineer in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
