In addition to serving as the engineering manager of the firm's Cleveland District Office, Mr. Mallory provides civil and structural engineering consultation for residential, commercial and industrial projects. His service areas include design evaluation, failure analysis, scope of damage, repair estimation and fire origin and cause. Mr. Mallory earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and human factors engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduation, he went on to serve as an officer in the United States Army Corps of Engineers for ten years, supervising the construction and revitalization of base camp infrastructure in Europe and Asia. In two separate tours of duty to the Balkans, he served as a Regional Engineer Officer and NATO Force Engineer Advisor, managing road and bridge repair projects that facilitated military, humanitarian and host-nation operations. As a private pilot and licensed diver, Mr. Mallory enjoys sightseeing and numerous outdoor activities, particularly horseback riding and mountain biking. He also takes part in local theater and film, his latest role being an undercover police officer in the television show "CSI: Miami." Mr. Mallory is a licensed engineer in the state of Ohio.
