Mr. Horne is a hands-on engineer. He was raised in East Tennessee and, as a youth, could fix almost anything. After earning his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida, Mr. Horne worked as a design engineer and project manager at a firm in Central Florida. In addition to designing standard commercial and residential projects, he was involved in many `one of a kind` projects at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. (It is not every day you do wind calculations on a 30-foot diameter hat.) Mr. Horne joined Engineering Design & Testing Corp in 2000 and now inspects, investigates, and evaluates structures of all kinds. His abilities, training and experience have made him a good fit at the firm's Charleston District Office. When not on the job, Mr. Horne enjoys spending time with his family (and a menagerie of animals). He also enjoys improvement projects at his and his neighbors' homes. Mr. Horne is a licensed engineer in the following states: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
