Mr. Morris is the engineering manager of ED&T's Charlotte District Office. In addition to managing the day to day operations of the Charlotte District Office, he provides consultation in the area of structural engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Prior to joining ED&T, Mr. Morris served as a consulting structural engineer for several nationally prominent architectural/engineering firms. He has designed health care, educational, commercial, and industrial structures, some in excess of 2 million square feet. Since joining ED&T in 1991, he has consulted on The Big Dig in Boston, the World Trade Centers in New York City, and on numerous other large commercial and industrial projects. Mr. Morris holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In his spare time, Mr. Morris enjoys singing. He has performed with his church choir at Carnegie Hall, and in 2000, joined the choir on a cathedral cities tour in Great Britain. The choir also regularly performs at Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, South Carolina. He is also an avid baker, providing bread and yeast rolls to his many friends throughout the year. Mr. Morris is a licensed engineer in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
